6 Ways to De-stress | Adanna Daily

I feel like a lot of older people look at young people and think that we have no reasons to be to be stressed out. If you are young, in your 20’s especially, then you know this is false. At this point in many of our lives, life can get a little crazy. We’re taking on new responsibilities while trying to get in the groove of this adult life. Stress is a part of life and I’m aware of how awful it can feel. I want to share a few ways to de-stress when life gets a little hectic.

6 ways to destress

Drink Tea

This is one of my favorites. There are so many teas that are for the sole purpose pf relaxing you. My favorite is chamomile tea!

Talk to Someone

Sometimes, putting time aside to vent can do the trick. Talk to someone you’re comfortable with and let them know what’s been going on with you and how you’re feeling.

It’s a known fact that exercise is a great stress reliever. Set aside some time in your day for a workout. Maybe yoga? You’ll feel amazing afterwards.

Take a Power Nap

A quick 20 minute power nap is all you need to regroup sometimes. This can be the best solution when you’re feeling overwhelmed.

Take Some Time for Yourself

Taking time for yourself is so crucial. Set aside time for self care. You can have a spa day, listen to music, take a warm bubble bath etc.

Ask for Help

Some of us like to take on all the work and we like the sense of being independent and in control of things. Taking control should mean you make wise and healthy choices as well. If you find yourself stressed out, step back and ask someone for help. Lighten the load!
